Let's bake some bread! Learn how to make the perfect yeasted loaf, we will use both dried yeast and fresh yeast to demonstrate the difference. I will provide some inclusions so you are welcome to make your bread flavoured if you wish! We will go over all of the tips tricks and signs to look out for in order to make the perfect loaf I will demonstrate how to knead and shape your dough so you can achieve different styles, and types of breads like rolls and plaits. We will discuss the types of flour and how they achieve different textured breads as well as have effects on how the yeast works You will also get sent home with a sour dough to ferment and bake at home you will be given full guidance and demonstration on this! I will have pre made each step to demonstrate to you on the day so you have the knowledge and confidence to finish off your dough at home! I will have have a large amount of my sourdough starter 'Steven', who you are welcome to take a piece of home with you to make your own. Everything will be provided! There will be tea, coffee and a half time snack. This is a longer course than normal starting at 9am so bringing yourself a lunch would be recommended especially with the savoury smells from our breads! We will be starving! As always I will send you home with some recipes, and basic tools to carry on your bread journey at home.
